Student ID

Student ID card update

À¦°óSM is transitioning away from physical student identification cards as part of the OC education experience. Until now, students would apply for and receive a physical ID card, even though students do not require them for access to College facilities or for identification purposes.

In preparation for Fall 2025, OC will no longer be offering printed student ID cards. Those students who require an ID card for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, such as practicums, will still be issued cards through their program or Dean’s office as required. Special requests for ID cards for other purposes will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with more details on the process available by September.

For students needing proof of enrolment (for discounts or verification), both and students can request a letter of enrolment, and can also for an internationally accepted student identification card.

The process for employee ID cards remains unchanged. Employees will continue to receive ID cards for access to their work areas, with updates requested through their administration office via the Account Maintenance Request form, subject to manager approval.

ID card services will continue to be managed by the Ancillary and Business Services (ABS) department.
